Moderated Zoom question

I have a Windows 10 computer running JAWS 2022. I have scheduled several Zoom meetings but I can’t find how to go to the meeting I want. Only one meeting is showing up. I hope someone can help. |

Are you setting up the Zoom meetings or are you trying to join a Zoom meeting, that someone else has setup? TJ On 3/16/2023 10:20 AM, Marianne Denning

Dear Marianne If you have already scheduled your meetings then tabbing down through the main Zoom page should land you on a tab area, there will be several tabs starting with Home. Cursor across until you hear meetings tab and press enter. Now tabbing down through the window should reveal a list of all the meetings you have scheduled with options to edit the meeting or copy the invitation.

I assume you are using the Zoom app. I think it opens to the last view you were on, so you’ll have to move around to orient where you are. There are three main tabs on mine: Home, Meetings and Contacts. As you tab , once you hear that you are on any of those three tab headers, you can use right and left arrow to move between them. Hit enter once you have what you want. From the Home tab, you can press tab until you hear your first meeting of the day, then after that is a button to show you the rest of the meetings for today. Alternatively, if you go to the meetings tab, you can see all upcoming meetings. Once you are on that meetings tab, press the tab key until you hear the Refresh button. Tab once more and see if you are on the Upcoming Meetings tab or the Recorded Meetings tab. If you hear Recorded Meetings, arrow once to the Upcoming meetings tab. Tab again to move into that area and to the Schedule meeting button. If you tab once or twice past that, you’ll be in a list of your upcoming meetings. You can arrow up and down the list. I do find this window a bit quirky so just be patient. Sometimes it works if I find the first meeting then arrow down, but sometimes I need to find that first meeting JAWS voices, then shift tab once before I can arrow down. Not sure why I’m experiencing that, but if the arrows don’t work, tab or shift tab once and try again.
See if this gets you on the right path.

I am on the meetings page and when I get to the list of appointments only the most recently scheduled appointment shows up. It used to work like you explained. I am not quite sure what the problem could be.

I have an appointment tomorrow so I will try going to Home instead of Meetings. I am not sure what has happened with my meetings tab. Thanks for your suggestions.

Hi Marianne, I had the exact same problem until a few days ago when I updated the Zoom desktop client. I could find my scheduled meetings if I turned on the JAWS cursor, but had no way to actually do anything with those meetings. I assumed I was fully up to date because I had checked the checkbox in Zoom general settings for automatic updates. The problem is that this checkbox does not work. So go into the Home tab and check for updates and do it manually. I reported this to Zoom accessibility so they will hopefully fix the automatic update problem. In the meantime, check every 2 or 3 weeks for updates and do them manually. Hope this fixes your problem, David

Hi, list members, how do you check to make sure that you have the most recent version of zoom on your system? -----Original Message-----

To check for updates, get into the Zoom app on your PC. Then Control Tab to the Home tab, Tab several times to the dropdown button with your account name on it and Up arrow to Check for updates.
