I am using Windows 10 and JAWS 2020.  How accessible is JAWS with LibreOffice 7.1.0?

While it seems to work fine with Jaws, do not, and I repeat, do not try to check for updates in Libre Office while Jaws is running!

It froze my computer, twice.

I tried it to get to 7.1.03, and I had to have my sighted wife kill the process.

I then tried it with NVDA, and was able to download the newer version and install it from my downloads folder.

After getting 7.1.03 installed with the usual reboot, I checked again for updates with Jaws 2021 running, and had to shut down because I couldn’t kill the process.

I will be writing them some feedback.

Ralph's Observation:  It is a mistake to allow any mechanical object<>to realize that you are in a hurry.

I only played a little with the calc spread sheet and the writer, but given that it is free, it is well worth checking out.

I did not have this specific problem while checking for updates, however using JAWS 2018 at least I was unable to actually activate the update button.

One can just go to the libre office homepage and download the latest version.

Or ninite as already suggested, if one preefrs that.
