Upgrade Adobe Flash Dialog?

Charles Krugman

I do the same thing and it always works. The Q button aborts the installation as Q stands for QUIT.

The way I work with the ugprade installer is where it's available, always press the button which JAWS reads as I, and where it isn't available use the button labelled blank. If I remember rightly there is only one screen where the I button isn't available. Seems to work without fail for me. Basically just don't press the queue button as not sure what that does.

I don't waste my time anymore with this inaccessible Adobe dialog. Now I
use Ninite Installer to download and install Adobe Flash Player and Reader
and avoid this frustrating dialog altogether.

I agreed. I tend to do it several times and after while it works. Go figure.

NO MATTER WHICH IT IS, IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE A VERY EASY THING TO ACCOMPLISH
FOR SOME REASON. I'VE BEEN PLAYING AROUND WITH THIS THING FOR AWHILE NOW
AND FIND THAT YOU JUST HAVE TO FIDDLE AROUND WITH IT UNTIL YOU FIGURE IT
OUT. YOU'D THINK SOMEBODY AT ADOBE WOULD HELP OUT ALITTLE, RIGHT?

THAT'S FUNNY. I ALWAYS THOUGHT THE QBUTTON THAT SAID BUTTON WAS ACCEPT AND
THE I BUTTON WAS FOR INSTALL. SO NOW THE QUESTION IS, WHICH IS WHICH?

I think the I is for accept. I tend to press the button without any letter and wait for a while and it tends to work.

Hi folks.

Have any of you figured out what the three buttons are in the
dialog box for updating Adobe Flash Player?

One says Q which seems to Quit the dialog, one says I, and one is
just unlabeled. You'd think that with only two possible choices
besides quit, I could figure out how to install the update, but no
luck yet.

Pressing on "I" which may or may not mean Install, gives me more
dialogs with more ambiguously named buttons.

Chris

Hello there;
Generally you should see, three buttons when you tab, button, IButton,
Qbutton.

You first need to enter on, button,
And you may need to do this a couple times, then you need to enter on,
IButton, obviously this is the I agree button.

Hope this helps.

There used to be a website out there, updateflash.org, which actually makes
the process a little easier to deal with. Not sure if that still applies,
but if the traditional method's giving you fits, you may want to try there.

Yes, that's right James, just go to updateflash.org and it will tell you if the flash player for your browser is up to date or not. Very handy.

Dorothy <dorothy.ingram-gorban@...>

Many thanks James I will try that Dorothy

then you have either a problem with protection software or a goof up in your system, run a system file check (run, cmd in it and enter, then sfc/scannow in the command prompt)

and have a restore or backup disk available so if it needs it you can get to a fresh copy of the files that sfc will try to replace.
