moderated Underscoring Letters and Words

Hi All,
In Word 2010 how do I underscore a single
letter, word or line? Running Jaws 16 thru J2021, Windows 7 and 10.

Select the text you want with shift+whichever key selects the amount you want and press control+u. That will only underline the selection. Or, press control+u type what you want underlined, and then press control+u again to turn off underlining.
