I tried downloading FF5.0 from my Downloads folder and got the notification that Webvisum was disabled; also I found the Tools\Options\Manage Addons less accessible and had trouble finding the addon I wanted to modify. Then I downloaded FF3.6.19 from a message sent by another lister, went to Webvisum and tried downloading the plugin, but still the plugin wasn't activated.
If you have a link to Firefox 4 please send it, but last spring I got this message regarding some of its drawbacks:
Gone are the layers of tool bars, status bars, the bookmark bar. Instead there is a row of tabs-much like Chrome. Interestingly, Mozilla is sticking to the more traditional address box on the left and search box on the right like IE and Safari. Chrome has combined the search box and address box into one.
Have these issues been resolved yet? Thanks again for your feedback.

If you have FF3 installed why not just do the normal install? That
should still work fine as far as I know. I was only having problems
because I did upgrade to FF5 when it was offered, not realizing that
the upgrade would kill webvisum. It was working fine even with FF4.

You don't need a new invitation. I have no idea whether it will work
with FF3.6. And yes, I got the same warning and just sucked it up and
installed anyway.

Okay, I downloaded and installed the XPI from that page (not the
easiest thing to find due to the page being in German and eloquence
continually switching to German pronunciation). It actually works
better than indicated for me (win7 pro 64bit, jaws 12), I even get the
speech notices when a challenge has been submitted and solved (the
only operation I use webvisum for). Thanks
