moderated subscribing to a mailing list specifically for using jaws with different programs?

Hank William Merchant

Good morning,

Is there maybe a mailing list for using jaws with different programs? If there is, can someone please maybe tell me the email address to subscribe to such a list? Any help with this would be so very, very much appreciated! Much, much thanks in advance for any possible help with this.

Kindest regards,

Jaws 2021 with Win10 user Hank

This group, and the JFW Users Group are both for precisely that purpose.  This one has a less strict moderation policy.

But note well, both are focused on JAWS, not the programs you're using JAWS to access, and this is perfectly appropriate.

If you're looking for more broad-based information about using Windows 10 with JAWS then consider the Windows Access with Screen Readers Group.

There is no group dedicated to discussion of any program you can name while using a screen reader to access it.  But there are tons of groups, including the Microsoft Office Accessibility Discussion Group, that are dedicated to specific programs or suites of programs.

The screen reader and the thing it's accessing are two separate things, and how a given program works (whether with point and click or keyboard shortcuts) is entirely separate from the screen reader being used on top of it.
