I'm wondering. is sending an email to this list (main@jfw.groups.io) the same as sending it to jfw@groups.io?

if so, what is the difference, and which one is preferred that I email in the future?

I think they are two different groups, but I have no idea beyond that they have different addresses.
I just send to the one that starts main@.

I don't recall when or why but, this group did change it's name from,
 
to,
 
 
That's why mario was able to send the same message using both email addresses.  Many people still use the old address and I use both addresses when creating my message rules to keep the old address users  going to the same folder.

Yes, I guess I thought whomever was running the JFW group was going to shut it down, and then along came the Main@ group.
That is why I only send new messages I create to the Main@ group and probably reply to the JFW@ group without paying attention that it is a different group.
