Moderated Results Viewer Not Able To Be Displayed After OCR
Apologies if others have had this issue. I'm finding when using OCR to scan a PDF, that whilst the OcR will say that it has started and finished and the Results Viewer appears in the list of tabs, I cannot display it nor can JAWS read it other than the version of the results Viewer. I've tried this from both within a PDF and by trying to just scan the file from File Explorer. Any thoughts?
Using JAWS Version 2023.2210.29, Windows 10 Version 10.0.19041.1 and Adobe Acrobat DC Version 22.3.20282.0

Have you tried telling it to display the results in Word? And if your pdf is a complete graphic Jaws won’t OCR it. You’ll need to print it out and use a scanner to scan it back into your computer. I run across this once in awhile, fortunately not as much lately.

Hi, I would like to ask you this question… When I scan a doc and go to ocr with word to jaws, I get a message that I will need to install ms word although I have word already installed. What can I do and does this also happen to you? Andy and Leroy

That doesn’t happen to me. It just starts the scan with the clicks to show me it is running. When finished Word opens and it is there. It might be time for you to call tech support.

What happens if you scan the document, then save it?
Are you then able to open the document using ocr with word to jaws?
Thanks,
