JAWS2023; Word 2019; draft view.

I can create footnotes easily, but when I go to the view pane with ALT + S then H to edit a footnote, JAWS does not read the text of existing notes. i can type, but JAWS doesn't read what I have typed.

What can I tweak to make this pane accessibileaccessible?

Hi Ann/all,
Sometimes footnotes simply are not represented in jaws while typing, which
is indeed very annoying. I no longer use draft view but keep print view.
This means that if I want to edit a footnote, I locate the relevant page,
then go to the following page with page down and arrow up the notes which
show as text. When I find the relevant place, I simply make my changes and
save the document before continuing. Footnotes usually show correctly when
in print view after being inserted, but it helps immensely to use a braille
display.

I believe that it is a Microsoft Word 2019 issue because in my case Jaws
2023 dos read and interact perfectly with the existing footnotes, of course
I use Word 365.
