Moderated Problem updating credentials in Thunderbird

I was required to change my Gmail password today, and when opening
Thunderbird, a window pops up to update G-Mail credentials for IMAP.
However this window is not accessible, or working properly. I am able
to click on my email address using OCR, but when It goes to the
Password screen, I am not able to type my password in the box. A
sighted person even tried clicking in the password box, and it would
not allow any typing. Has anyone encountered this, and is there a way
around, or through it? Thanks. I've already updated my password in the
Thunderbird Security, Password section, but this continues to occur.

My understanding is that Gmail, like Microsoft 365, now requires OAuth2 to be set up for IMAP access. I suggest looking up the details via your preferred Web search engine. You may have to change the authentication type to OAuth2, then complete a procedure that takes you to a Google Web page to authorize the application to access IMAP.

Thanks for the response. I followed instructions that I found online, but that Login window was completely incompatible with JAWS. My wife suggested turning JAWS off, and then the window worked. I was able to then login and confirm with Google through my YouTube App. So apparently this process can be done, as long as you can get someone with sight to help. Thanks again.
