moderated OCR

Am I doing this command wrong?  I hist inster space then I type the letter o and, it says OCR.  Then I hit the letter C and, it says OCR started, but then it says finnished.  Am I doing something wrong?

Hello Curt,

DO you have the screen shade disabled? It interferes with OCR. If yes, you then explore OCR text with arrows.

Hi, Curt. Are you trying to OCR the screen, or are you trying to OCR a document. If trying to OCR the screen, you are doing exactly right. Now you just use your up and down arrows to explore the screen that you just did an OCR on.

What are you trying to OCR? If inside of a pdf document it would be insert
space,d. If scanning a document it would be insert space A. If OCR a file
use context key and arrow down to convenient OCR with JAWS.

I was trying to use it on a game.  However, the ocr seems to be reading other windows a little too.

Is the window maximized?
Windows does like to have busy screens and show more than just one thing but maximizing may help, or not.

Hello Curt,

If you are OCRing a mage use INS+SPACE+O, W instead.

And also note that OCR simply will not work with some graphics
techniques that windows offers (which are at least somewhat likely to
be used by games).
