You do not have to go to file explore what I did is I went to disk top, and on the disk top you press control shift n  

In win11 they took that away from us.

To create a new folder I just use the shortcut alt+2

Does shift control N still work for creating a new folder?

ALT + 2 won't work on the Desktop, but it should work in File Explorer under Windows 10, including if you're viewing the Desktop folder in File Explorer itself.

Of course, as you've noted, CTRL + SHIFT + N works, too.  I tend to use that far more frequently than ALT + 2, but either is an "easy to handle" keyboard shortcut for me.  I imagine ALT + 2 might be easier than CTRL + SHIFT + N for certain users.

Also, to be perfectly clear, in the ALT + 2 command you must use the 2 on the number row, not in the number pad.  I realize most screen reader users will have the number pad in use for screen reader commands to begin with, but I have occasionally seen folks try certain "digit" shortcuts with the NumLock on and the digit on the number pad, and very often this will not work.  Sometimes it matters whether we're talking Num Row or Num Pad when it comes to the digit press.
