Moderated LibreOffice 7.5.0 with jaws 2023

Hi,
has anyone use LibreOffice? I took a quick look and the spreadsheet
and the menus did not read. The spreadsheets would read the cordinence
but not the contents. I did not have a lot of time to check it out. It
says it has accessability built in and I've read on the web some
people are using it. If I can get it to read I would rather go this
rount then buying the ms office again as mine verion is very very old.
So is there some settings I have to turn on in LibreOffice some how or
something I can do with jaws to help?
Thanks.

If I remember correctly, NVAccess has been consulted regarding the accessibility of LibreOffice. Trying NVDA isn't the answer you're looking for (you're posting on a JAWS-specific list, after all), but it may be your best option under Micrsofot Windows.
I've used LibreOffice under Linux, where the accessibility works in some respects but not in others. It undoubtedly needs more work.

Hi,
I use Libre Office in both windows 7 & 10.
The only Jaws I have is 2020, but in years past I used it with older Jaws
with no problem.
I mostly used it for spreadsheets.
You can just open calc and start a new spreadsheet.
Maybe you got too new version of Libre Office.
The one I'm using is probably 6 months to a year old.

What JAWS version are you using? I have an old version of JAWS, but I think libre is supposed to work better with newer ones, or with nVDA. I have used both NVDA and JAWS with libre a bit, mostly the word processor component. The menu bar won't speak with older JAWS unless you use the jaws cursor -- that was kind of the big thing. I don't remember about cell data in spread sheets unfortunately.
