Moderated Layered Keys
Hi Barbara,
You can get a list of JAWS layered keys by pressing JAWS key-space, then j. For layered keys relating to a specific program, put focus in that program, then press JAWS key-space followed by ? (question mark).

The one about the shift S didn’t work for me unless I’m not understanding.
I do insert space s for speech on demand, then I do shift s thinking it would toggle speech back on but nothing. Thoughts?

It’s a toggle, Kimsan. You don’t use shift to restore speech, but the layered keys again, followed by s.

Hi, Kimsan. If you read the message carefully, what it says is,
toggle between Speech on Demand or full mute = Shift + S
What it does not say is,
toggle between full mute and full speech = Shift + S
What is being toggled with Shift plus S is whether, when you press JAWS key plus Space, followed by S, you go to full mute, or merely Speech on demand. Speech On Demand is not the same as Full Speech. Speech On Demand means that you will not have full speech, but you will have speech, if you press certain keys like the up and down arrows, or the Say All Command.
