Moderated jaws switching to eloquence randomly

Hi If I choose decTalk express then tab away from the desktop, jaws2023 switches to eloquence when on the taskbar and notification area. It switches back to dectalk express wheb back on the desktop and most other programs. Why does this happen? DecTalk is is set for all options in speech profiles.

probably because jaws thinks otherwise.

I found out why. I just need to change the first option in the profiles combo box and let the application one set to default then it works fine. So now I have a decTalk express software tts working in jaws 2023 with the com0com emulator and a software decTalk dll as a kind of bridge. Jaws is talking to an emulted serial port with nothing more than a decTalk dll at the other end.
