Moderated Jaws commands to work on Google docs and move around tables?

Leo

Hello, It’s been a while since the last time I worked with tables in Google docs, and I can’t figure out how to do it now. I looked  for some commands on the web, but I can’t find something useful. I found out some shortcuts in the Google help, but few of them seems to work. I’m trying to edit the information within a table.

Best,

HI Leo,

Here’s a list of Google table commands I obtained some time ago. Usually I note my source, but I’m afraid this time I didn’t. I’d send the Word file, but I know this list doesn’t accept attachments. The list occupies one MS Word page:

Speak the table column and row header holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then h

Speak the table cell location        holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then n

Speak the table row header        holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then r

Speak the table column header holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then c

Show live edits  Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r

move quickly through your document or table:

b. Move quickly around a table with Ctrl + Alt + Shift + t followed by another key.

Table navigation

Move to the start of the table     holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then s

Move to the end of the table      holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then d

Move to the start of the table column     holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then i

Move to the end of the table column      holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then k

Move to the next table column  holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then b

Move to the previous table column          holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then v

Move to the start of the table row            holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then j

Move to the end of the table row             holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then l

Move to the next table row         holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then m

Move to the previous table row holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then g

Exit table             holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then e

Move to the next table  holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press n then t

Move to the previous table          holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press p then t

Leo,

I am a Google docs newbie and have been listening to tutorials and taking notes.  Here is what I have on tables. I havent’ tried these yet, as I do not have a doc with a table in it. Note that these commands seems to require holding the modifier keys while you hit each subsequent letter command. For example, in the first one, you are pressing Control alt and shift and hitting T (for table), then, while still holding Control alt shift, you hit H for header.

Tables in Docs

Speak the table column and row header holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then h

Speak the table cell location holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then n

Speak the table row header holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then r

Speak the table column header holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift, press t then c
