Thanks for the instructions on checking for updates.

Tom, I have never checked any boxes so I am assuming my accepting the
default
settings causes me to receive notifications not only for software updates
but also for JFW webcasts and such.
And I continue receiving the update notifications until I actually perform
the updates so I get constant reminders.
Incidentally, as part of the notifications, you can also check an item to
opt out of them.
