IE 9

Rose Combs <rosecombs@...>

Update keeps bugging me to install IE 9. for those of you who have done so,
should I keep ignoring the message. Using Windows 7, 64.bit latest update
of Jaws, with their quirky number system I won't even try to say which
number, just the latest available last week should help anyone who really
wants to know. I keep unchecking this but it refuses to leave me alone, and
I am not sure I want the 9 version at this point.

And, now, I'm off to install the latest Jaws 12.

So, let's hope that doesn't blow things up.

No reason not to upgrade other than the method of downloading is different. But everything works great, faster and the new download manager works very well.

Rose,

If you have a site that presents a problem you can:

1. Try viewing it under the compatibility view in IE9; or,
2. If compatibility view won't work or you just don't like IE9, you can uninstall it and go back to IE8.

If any websites (I've not found any yet) don't like IE9 there is a compatability mode under the tools menu which makes it act like IE8. When IE9 first came out using the compatability mode worked great but there doesn't seem to be a need for it anymore with the websites I visit.
