Moderated How to open links in Word?
Mark
I can't seem to figure out how to open a link in a Word document. I tried keyboard commands like enter or control + enter and it just seems to change the document itself. I've searched my standard sources and not coming up with the magical keystrokes that invokes Word to open the link in a browser.

You can also bring up the link list with insert F7.

Greetings:
Move your cursor about two characters into the actual link and then press Enter.
Hope this helps.

I believe that you can also press Shift plus F10 or the applications key if you have one on your keyboard once you are focused on the link. From there, arrow down to the option that says, “Open Link” and then press enter. Hope this will help too.

Move your cursor about two characters into the actual link and then press Enter.- If that's working for you, then you have tweaked some setting, somewhere, such that this happens. I tried exactly that, both with a screen reader active and not, before posting the same suggestion that many others have since made, and all it does in either case is split the link across lines, just like it would if it were just normal text. I use insert f7, then hit enter.
I've noticed that sometimes that will open a link whne enter won't in documents.
Also, try insert minus, and and double click the left mouse button.
Thanks,
Justin

Howdy:
I don’t know what setting I have, but in the attached file, I can just press Enter on the link text and it all works. I am sure there is an obscure setting which I have yet to find<smile>.
Cordially,
