Moderated Help with Docu Sign

Hi Everyone,

 

I need to use Docu sign to complete a task.  It appears to me that the only way to actually sign is by using a mouse to sign.  Anyone have a workaround?

I have done it with the keyboard but it takes some work to find every checkbox and entry field.

I have used Docusign on occasions to sign legal documents for such things as mortgages, and have found the site to be accessible.

It’s been 3 or 4 years since I last used it with JAWS. I was able to navigate by pressing tab. On the down side, I was never able to read what I was signing. I don’t know if it is better now or not.

In order to read the document, you have to click on the link which mentions accessibility or screen readers.  I don’t remember the exact wording.

Hi, Lori. Before you sign the document, there is a download link that will allow you to download and read the document either before, or after you sign it. The documents are usually in pdf format.

There’s a prompt that invites you to press a button if you are using a screen reader to switch to a mode in which the PDF document becomes readable. This also allows you to interact with accessible controls to sign the document.

Of course, the accessibility of the document is limited by the accessibility of the underlying PDF file. I don’t know whether tagged PDF is processed to improve access.

Hi, Jason. I was aware of the button that allows reading of the document online, but in my case, it was a multipage document, and you can't just read the document straight through online, you must navigate from page to page. I just found it more convenient to download and read the document in question, then sign it online.
