Moderated email messages not reading right
Tammy Freitag
I have Jaws 2021 and Outlook 2019. Sometimes I can open a message and all Jaws will say is, “document and then give a number.” This doesn’t happen with all emails. It is the strangest thing! I have turned Jaws off and back on again with no change. I have updates turned off to Jaws. I have no clue what changed. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance! Tammy |

Try maximizing the window with alt+space then x or alt+dash then x. That may help.

I get this same verbalization from time to time, but it goes away immediately and I can read the message. I’m not sure this is a case for maximization.

Hi Roger,
Maybe you can help with my wife's email
problem. It's pretty much the same but, every time she opens an email she
has to maximize it for it to read correctly. Isn't there a setting
somewhere in Windows 10 that is supposed to remember repeated maximizing of the
same type of window?
Or, is there a setting that I can change that will
maximize whatever window that comes into focus / view? She's running the
latest of Windows 10 Home and Office 2021 Pro. All help is greatly appreciated.
Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool. ----- Original Message -----

Hi Brian,
Yes, Lenovo Vantage is installed and used.
The biggest problem is that this computer is only used when we go to our other
house so, it has long idol times. I break it out for updating and
these sort of things but, unless I'm told about these little things right away I
don't get right on them. And, being this is basically a travel computer,
I'm sure she has more important things on her mind and just forgot to mention
it. Hell, maybe she did tell me and I blew it off! Other than this
little hiccup it's agreat computer.

Tammy

Yes I did. I ended up just shutting down my computer. When it restarted, all is fine with the world. Smile! Thanks! Tammy

Did you try alt+dash then x after opening the message?

Ok, maximizing the window did not help. The only way I read this message was to forward it. Thanks! Tammy From: main@jfw.groups.io <main@jfw.groups.io> On Behalf Of Adrian Spratt
Mike,
I know you know this, but I’ll point out that you can use a program’s properties to run its window as maximized. Go to the desktop icon for Barbara’s email program, alt-enter for properties, tab to the window option.
What I don’t know is whether maximizing the program’s window will also maximize individual email messages.

Hi Roger,
Maybe you can help with my wife's email problem. It's pretty much the same but, every time she opens an email she has to maximize it for it to read correctly. Isn't there a setting somewhere in Windows 10 that is supposed to remember repeated maximizing of the same type of window?
Or, is there a setting that I can change that will maximize whatever window that comes into focus / view? She's running the latest of Windows 10 Home and Office 2021 Pro. All help is greatly appreciated.
Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool. ----- Original Message ----- From: Roger Moore Sent: Thursday, January 05, 2023 11:44 AM Subject: Re: email messages not reading right

No. I didn’t think of that. I will give it a try. Just thought it odd that this is a random behavior. Thanks! Tammy

Have you tried Maxmizing the screen by pressing ALT + SPACE followed by X?
