Maybe I'm wrong, but I've always understood that if you allow you SMAs to drop down to zero upgrade left, you will be charged extra. So I've always added two more years when I get down to only one upgrade left.

And for a blind person with a pc, a good screen reader is certainly a
necessity.
If coming up with the extra $$ for a 2-yr SMA is difficult, consider what
you are saving by perhaps postponing a tratification.

I just renewed myyearly license back in April, as I pay the $95 per year. If I get this $120 deal, will it add on to my existing time remaining, or should I save my money? I thought $95 was a good deal, but if one can pay either $120 or $150 for two years and get the same thing you get for $95 a year, that's a better money saver.

Unfortunately no, as I understand it, SMAs are only available if you pay the $950 for a JAWS perpetual license. Freedom Scientific introduced the annual license model because many visually impaired people simply cannot afford the cost of a perpetual license.

No, The $120 deal is for the SMA license. However there is a sale price for the Home annual license I think it is $20 a year off if you buy 2 or more years. .

If you paid the initial license price of $950 for JAWS and have kept your SMAs up to ddate, then SMAs are better because they only cost $60 per year with the discount and $75 per year without the discount. But if you can't afford the initial license price of $950, then the annual license is better because it doesn't require that initial huge outlay of cash.

If you can afford the yearly renewal cost, and are going to upgrade your
windows regularly, it probably makes sense to get the yearly subscription.
On the other hand, if you aren't going past windows 7 or 8, Jaws 2020 is
fine.
And if you stay with windows 10 past newer windows updates, the yearly Jaws
updates probably won't affect your version of windows, so it may be better
to just have an SMA, which won't stop working after a year.
And if you may not be able to afford the yearly subscription next year, then
the SMA may be best, for the same reason.

Never mind that, they finally made it easy to find where to buy SMAs on their site, it was always hard to find in the past, so I always ended up calling them.
Anyway, they won't quote me a price because I am licensed through JAWS 2024. I guess I'll have to wait until next year to see how much they are going to charge me.

$950 for JAWS and have kept your SMAs up to ddate, then SMAs are better
because they only cost $60 per year with the discount and $75 per year
without the discount. But if you can't afford the initial license price
of $950, then the annual license is better because it doesn't require
that initial huge outlay of cash.

years instead of 1 at the time of renewal.
As I'm set through the 2024 upgrade, it shows me no prices when

I just checked the SMA cost for my home edition of Jaws and after
entering my serial number it said I could purchase a SMA for $150.00. I
still have one sma left so another sma purchase would get me to 2025.
