Moderated Chase that fox off, use Edge!

Hello,

I’ve not had your issue, but I had one where Firefox wasn’t able to read a table of values for my college course, funnily enough, in assistive technology. JAWS, more specifically, wasn’t able to read this table/took many moments to even access a single thing on the loaded table. What I had to do was to use Microsoft Edge, so I think you need to chase that fox off, of course Firefox, that is, and use Edge. There’s a paper I’d like to share with you about the accessibility of FF, Google Chrome, and other such browsers. If you’d like me to do this, please e-mail me privately. I’ll prepare the paper—now graded, of course—and send it in. it doesn’t describe your issue, but it might be something to read, anyway.

Subject: Now FireFox is causing problems

 

Hello, Has anyone encountered any problems using FireFox? I press control f to search on the page. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn’t do anything. Plus the time I do anything on the page it will take 30-40 seconds before anything happens. My download speed is 240 MBPS. I started using FireFox since Google has the problem of a menu coming up when pressing enter on a link on the page. Thanks, Kevin

I'd love to use Edge, but then I have no idea how to get it to just give me a blank page instead of all this clutter. I also prefer FireFox reader mode since it is more customizable and activates on apage regardless of whether the author marked it up accordingly. I also heard that there were new improvements for screen reader users coming, though I'm not sure when, but they are apparently in the nightly releases. But Edge does a better job at aria by a large margin. And it performs quickly, it just wrongly detects my system language as British English despite that I'm in Canada not England, and editing the registry doesn't seem to help. So I {{?_}}a{{]sans}} use Edge as a browser because if I try to buy something it tries to charge me in pounds, or it sends me to the UK version of search pages, when I'd really rather have just English with no country specific things. But Edge doesn't seem to recognize the forced default in the language settings. Neither does google chrome. However, FireFox has none of these issues, but it's a bit sluggish especially on large pages, and I'm sure I'm stuck with it anyway as Iuse thunderbird anyway. Windows ,, broke something and I have no idea how to get mailto links to open in thunderbird. They always open in Windows Mail which I never use because it has some weird clunky interface and so I'm not sure what the best course is as more and more pages enforcethe use of chrome. These algorithms are terrible. I liked it a lot better when a computer program was a computer program and not some marketing machine trying to tell me what I think and feel and prefer. Death to AI I say.
