Moderated browsing for a document through word

Hi, In word 2021,after doing CTRL o and shift-tabbing I am unsure how to locate a document. In other places where I navigate for a file, after shift tabbing twice, I’m placed in a folder, for example, documents. I’m not seeing that. I see file list but it says stuff like save, and 8 other items I don’t remember right now. Any an all assistance is deeply appreciated.
