The apostrophe character is spoken in the message list in Outlook 16, even though I have punctuation set to None.

I went through the customize punctuation setting in the Jaws Settings Center and set all instances of apostrophe to voice in punctuation  setting of All punctuation-only, and renamed the character to announce the word tic in place of apostrophe—even in the graphics characters—but it still announces apostrophe in the Message list.

Single right quoates and single left quots I also set to announce as tic.

Any suggestions?
