As of this date, my preferred one (and it's more than just an ad-blocker) is uBlock Origin (Chrome/Chromium Version) or uBlock Origin (Firefox - Author is Raymond Hill).
AdBlock Plus is my second choice, and is still very good. -- Brian - Virginia, USA - Windows 10, 64-Bit, Version 21H2, Build 19044 Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy. ~ H.L. Mencken, AKA The Sage of Baltimore |

Will that block adds on youtube when I'm using it?

It will. About 98% of the time. Sometiems they “sneak through”. And if you use chrome, in january, I don’t think this will work anymore, and I suspect most if not all Chromium browsers will follow suit out of the necessity to keep extension compatibility in tact. But if you use firefox, they should keep working for the foreseeable future.
