Moderated Accessing Thunderbird alerts
Gene Warner
Hi Everyone!
I have a problem with Thunderbird. Whenever it throws an alert, asking some question about updates or whether an extension should be installed, etc. JAWS starts to announce the alert, then stops before finishing reading the entire alert. After that I cannot find the alert anywhere so that I can respond to it using whatever links or buttons it presents. This means that I cannot install any extensions because an unanswered alert is the same as saying "no".
I can use JAWS' speech or notification history to read the alert, but that doesn't give me access to the actual alert and its controls.
Does anyone know how to access these using some keyboard shortcut native to Thunderbird or to JAWS.?
Thanks!
