moderated Accessible software to write braille music

Zel Iscel

Hi lissters,

I know there is at least one person on this list who is doing a PHD in music, so I’m hoping I could get some advice on accessible music writing apps. Is there any affordable software that translates music into braille.

This is an enquiry on behalf of a friend so my apologies if I’m not using the correct language.

Cheers

Zel

Hello,

I don’t know about affordable, but the only software I know of for converting music into braille music is Good Feel braille music translator and convertor.

It is by Dancing Dots.  They offer payment plans, etc.

I work with someone who teaches braille music and uses this software and loves it.

Here is the link to the software page:

There's also braille Music Editor 2 which does a good job with Musicxml files.
