Hello, again, everyone.

I apologize for the extra e-mail.

In my last message, I should have stated that I’m using Windows 10 here and the latest version of Jaws 2023.

Thanks again!

Hi Tom could you virtualize the window then copy that information in your message. That actually worked for me?  unfortunately the speech history command did nothing for me.  If that had worked then that would have been good as well.

Pasting the results of “virtualise window” works great for mailing lists like this one, but it makes sense that a programme developer or, indeed, almost any technical support person, would prefer a screenshot. The text copied from the virtualised window may well be all that’s needed, but it also might not be.

I say the following as a tech-support person:  When a screenshot is asked for, that's what's wanted, and it's because there are frequently things you see that literally are not presented otherwise.

On a related note this is why screensharing software, the sighted person's equivalent of JAWS Tandem, is so beloved amont sighted techs.  There are very often things that users simply do not say, because they do not even really realize they need to or that thus and such a thing shown has any significance, that a tech recognizes instantly as "meaning something significant."

Windows 10 and 11 both make taking a full-screen screenshot and saving it, all in one fell swoop, simple and requiring only a single keyboard shortcut.
