Moderated jaws delayed in speaking

Hi, I am noticing that at times there is a delay with Jaws speaking. I can open a browser-Edge or Firefox-and sometimes there is a delay. Jaws goes silent for a few seconds or so. The same is true sometimes when I open an e-mail and try to listen to it.
Is there something I can do about this?

Do you have icons on your taskbar and what are they?
Have you made sure that your office has been updated along with your Windows 11?
If you are not sure on how to check for updates for Office, let me know and I’ll give you instructions.
Some of the things that you may try are Maximizing and Restore or even Minimizing your screen with ALT + Spacebar.

I suggest that you UnPin Microsoft Edge from the Taskbar.

Try pressing this combination of keys, jaws plus. Windows plus F4. This will force a reset of jaws, Not reinstalling the program, but reloading jaws with diagnostic data. Going to freedom scientific.

On a full desktop keyboard, the Jaws key can be located two ways. On the number pad, which is to the right of the arrows, the jaws key is key 0. Also called the insert key. The Jaws key can also be the regular insert key on the six pack.

I used it when everything went silent while trying to go through my history on Edge. It even said it sent a report to FS. Hopefully that will help them fix the issue. It did not bring Jaws back up or did Jaws start speaking again this time. I had to restart it with the shortcut key. I’ll keep trying. <smile>
