Moderated Numbered Emails

Don Walls

I've checked settings but cannot figure out how to have my emails in any
folder numbered, say, for instance, "2 of 20". I used to have this with
Office 2016. I now have Office 2021, Windows 10 and JAWS 2020.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Don,

Try the following.

Go into Settings Center with JAWS key+6.

Locate the tree view, then arrow down to and expand Speech verbosity.

Take note of which verbosity level JAWS is set to, then arrow down to and
expand Configure verbosity levels.

Press space on the level that JAWS is set to (enter will close you out of
Settings Center), and make sure the first check box "announce position and
count when in lists" is checked.

Then, Tab once and make sure the radio button is set to "Long".

Then keep pressing ok until Settings Center is closed.

Cheers,

Ed

Edward, thanks for your suggestion. I've tried repeatedly and am not having
success. I'm sure it's me. I'll try again when a friend is here later this
week.

Edward, I appreciate your suggestion. It didn't quite work for me but my
computer guy went to reading panel through the tree and was able to turn off
the email size and turn on numbers. Whew!

I am so grateful for this list and the help of all who contribute.

Well, I thought the problem was solved, but it isn’t!!  He removed the size indication of each email and was able to have emails in each folder numbered, but all that disappeared later.  Yesterday he added another Outlook email account for my Anglican diocesan emails and now it comes up first.  When I switch to my other email account, the contacts list which comes up when I press control number row 3 is the diocesan account, even when I’m in the In folder of my other account.  Really irritating.
