This sounds like what's happening and this setting
is in the General category of Word options. While in Word press, Alt
+ T, then press letter, O, to open options.
The first category in the list is
General so on this category press tab several times until you get to,
Real-time collaboration options
When working with others, I want to automatically share my changes When working with others, I want to automatically share my changes Combo box This combobox has 3 choices, Always, Never and Ask
me. Highlight, Never, from this combobox, then press enter to select and
tab to, Okay, and press enter or spacebar to save.
Another setting you might want to tinker with is
in the, Ease of Access, category. With this category highlighted tab 1
time to,
Make your document accessible to others, Keep accessibility checker running
while I work check box
If this is checked you can unchecked this, tab to,
Okay, and press enter or spacebar to save / close. If either of these
setting changes doesn't do you any good you can always go back into options and
switch your settings.
Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool. ----- Original Message -----

It sounds to me like the copy of the document that is in the cloud is being updated with any changes you make. Everybody is trying to be like Google Docs with some level of success, so that multiple people in multiple locations can update the same file at the same time, and everybody gets all the changes. I believe that saving a copy of the file in your local disk might help prevent these messages. You could also use the JAWS notification editor to quiet these notifications.

Hello Mark:
I presume this is not happening with other Word documents?
Something is going on with the construction of the document you reference in your email which is not something you are doing. I recommend saving the document into a brand new Word document which you yourself create.
Cordially,
Curtis Chong

List,
I am running Microsoft 365 with the latest version of JAWS. I recently downloaded a Word file and edited the file. Now, when I arrow down through the file, JAWS will state, “server file updated.” Does anyone know what is going on?
Thanks in advance, Mark |
