I wanted to know I configured my column titles via control+f3 in excel, but when I down arrow through the rows it also reads the first column fields as row titles how can I just get the column titles read? When I move left/right through the row? I don’t need the first column being read every time I arrow around.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

While in excel, go to the quick settings with insert+V.

Type in title and then down arrow to Title reading detection and space bar until you get to columns. Then tab to ok and press enter.

Position the focus on the first column on the row that is the title row. Press CTRL+F3. Change what is there to ColumnTitle. The JAWS documentation is somewhat confusing n this regard. In one place, it says to use things like TitleRow and TitleColumn. In other places, and historically, we were advised to use things like RowTitle or ColumnTitle.
