I just got your question.

It is under the insert tab on the ribbon. Alt I, then the letter t. You can set up your table from there. You can use your arrow keys and decide how you want your table to look, then either tab to okay or press enter. Justin -----Original Message-----

Then in the Insert Table dialog, enter the number of columns and rows you wish your table to have. Then activate the OK button. The table is created. You should, after you get familiar with inserting a table, start looking through the Table Layout ribbon that shows up as soon as the table is inserted and you have focus on it. It allows you to do things like saying the table has a heading row (for the columns) and/or a first column serving as a heading for each respective row, and much more. It's also worth having a look at these resources for working with the ribbons interface. Contrary to much consternation, they're really not at all that much different than the old menus, but the actual navigation commands are different.

Kind of new to Word using W10 and Jaws Jaws 2022. If I wanted to make a word document which had some columns in it, how in the heck does one go about putting columns of things side-by- side. Maybe only 3 or 4 of them. Have tried pasting the second row by putting in the first column, then going to the top of that column, going to the end of that first word, tabbing once or twice and then pasting the , or what would be, the second column. It sure wont stay where it is. It went above the first one. Hope you understand. So now my probably confusing question, but how does one go about putting columns into a word document. Enjoy the day.
