I have a question for a friend. She is using Windows 11, and she wants to make the ribbon on the desktop that is so visual go away. I'm sorry if I'm not making sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am guessing that what's wanted is to hide the taskbar.  Taskbar options are in settings.  A quick search on hide taskbar should find the exact setting.

I'm not sure, but try this:

Open JAWS settings with JAWS key-6 on the number row above the letters. If your friend is using a desktop, the JAWS key is the insert key. Press the two keys together.
You'll need to make your choice apply to all programs, so press shift-control-d.
You've landed on a search field. Here, type the word virtual.
Arrow down through the options to see if any might apply.
With luck, someone else will respond with a more specific suggestion.
