you will discover 9 streams that can be listened to.
In the past, these were Shoutcast streams meaning that players such as
Winamp could handle them.

Now, to listen to any of them, you are instructed to click on the logo.
As there appears to be no link associated with the logo, I've not found a
way to listen to any of them; at the moment, the one I want the most is
"your Christmas Station"
which plays a blend of traditional Christmas carols and hymns much which
were on the radio a generation or 2 ago.

So, can someone give me a hand as to how you click on the logo at
www.thebreez.com.

This is one of those cases where I have no idea what the designer of that page was thinking.  Accessing it is not difficult, per se, but neither is it obvious, and the whole "Click on the logo" thing is just using the logo of that channel to refer to a link.  But, fair warning, the end result after I describe what happens is that the player window itself is inaccessible.

If you use the screen reader to look at either your list of links or your list of headers on the main page, the names of the various channels appear in either.  I personally find using Headings easier.  Activate the heading to go to it, then once on it, activate it so that the link it represents activates.  This brings up that channel's page.

On the Channel's page is where things start to get somewhat weirder.  If you open your list of headings, the first one is for "listen to . . ." for that station.  However, there is no link associated with it, the actual control you activate is the logo that immediately follows it, which just gets announced with, "To hear image description, open context menu" [which is a lie] then that it's a clickable unlabeled graphic.  I tab to this and it is what gets activated to bring up a player window.

After the player window is open the Play control button is not labeled, nor can I get focus on it.  I have once or twice somehow managed to get things playing by hitting spacebar or Enter, but I have no idea why it works every once in a while, and most times not.  Regardless of how I traverse the player page, whether by brute force tabbing or looking at elements lists, I do not land on the Play button nor is there anything in any of the elements lists that clearly indicates what this "non-button button" is.

If you were using this site, or even if you just want them to know what an accessibility nightmare they have, it would be worth bringing that to their attention.

Thanks for your explanation and analysis! My hunch was this was an
awefully poor design and implementation -- even more so given their former
use of Shoutcast.
Granted, the decision to discontinue their use of Shoutcast wasn't theirs;
but, most assuredly, somebody should have given them something far more
intuitive especially their target audience tends to be older listeners who
may not be as computer savvy or willing to jump through multiple hoops to
get to listen.

So, my inability to get it streaming is not all that surprising given your
explanation!

You're quite welcome.  I can't even say that this site is ideally configured for sighted users, either.  The mini-window that you arrive at where the play button (unlabeled and not landed on during typical traversal with tab) opens such that the play button itself is almost entirely obscured without scrolling.  I'm also surprised that they don't just make it play there when it opens, with the button being "pause" rather than play at that moment.

Just a horrible design overall.  Zero thought was given to accessibility in any way, shape, or form.  Any that is available is not by intent.

the logo you need to click on is a graphic that is reported as something like "open context menu for a description", followed by part of the actual stream name. I am assuming that Edge somehow automatically labeled the link, or NVDA did.

Whichever it was, once you click on that, as Brian said, a new tab will open with a poorly designed site, informing you about total listener count, the song currently playing, and any past songs.

This will be a table of sorts with artist name and song title.

To actually get that stream to play, there will be an element at the very top of the page, with the graphic of the logo below it. The top spot of the page, i.e. above the graphic, is what you need to press enter on.

NVDA anounces it as "clickable". If you do not manage to do it that way, here is a link I extracted from the source code that will get you your Christmasy vibes:

At least not when it comes to interacting with the player part, which is trial and error for us anyway.

Those elements are a nightmare, and that web designer should get fined or presented with a keyboard-only interaction page. :-)
