Moderated Same page links, getting them to work

Hi everyone!
Can somebody tell me what settings in JAWS might prevent same page links from working? I click on them but the cursor stays where it is, on the same page link I clicked on. This problem has been going on for as long as I can remember, I'm just now getting around to trying to get it fixed. :-D I am using JAWS 2022 with Edge 107 on Windows 10 22H2. Thanks! Gene... |

Gene,
If possible, would you mind tossing out a few URLs of pages using these that are not behaving for you? Hi, Gene. When you click on a same page link, don't forget to try JAWS key plus escape to refresh or update the screen. Sometimes the screen doesn't refresh, and you may be seeing the old screen before you clicked the same page link. This is what I have had to do sometimes to cause my screen to become aware that I have clicked one of these same page links.

Sometimes when I can't get a link to work, it is one I've navigated to rather than using Encert+F7. Whenever this happens, I pull up the JAWS links list and then it works.

I know that the link is being activated because JAWS reads the link back to me, When a link isn't working to where I need the links list JAWS doesn't read the link.

I see this problem all the time with the work I do as an accessibility tester and 508 Compliance Analyst. I have found it really can be hit and miss on what works and what does not. Sometimes the best way to do things is using the links list. However, I have noticed that if Jaws already cannot activate a link properly, it will most likely not work there either.
