Moderated The following is a proven fact of a problem when jumping from 22 to 23.

It is problems like this plus the problems I encountered with 2023 that make me very glad that Freedom Scientific or Vispero or whatever they call themselves these days made the choice to install each version of JAWS into its own folder thus leaving installations of previous version of JAWS intact making it easy to jump back to those previous versions should the new version have problems.
I used to uninstall older versions as soon as I installed a new version, big mistake! Now I leave the older version in place until I am satisfied that the new version is ready for daily use. All too often I have had to back track to an older version because the new version had problems I wasn't willing to accept in the screen reader I use every day.

For my fello JAWS users.
I'm still using jaws 22 because jaws is in my brother's name and we still
need to renew our sma.
While in JAWS 2022, the windows key doen't work.
Also, for the sound effects for outlook also isn't working.
I just got off of the phone with the disabitility hotline and they were able
to help me prove that there's a issue with jaws 2022.
Because when I switch to 2023, the sound effect for outlook works once
again.
I haven't tried sound effects for other programs, but the operator that I
was working with from the hotline stated that since the sounds from outllok
work both in NVDA an, narrator and in JAWS 2023, there's a issue when
upgrading from 22 to 23.
So, I was advised to contact FS to let them know about this to hopefully be
able to fix the issue, and or to know how to uninstall 2022 without messing
up 23.
But I don't want to kill of 22 until we renew our sma to register JAWS 2023.
So, hope this will help outher jaws users that are thinking of upgrading
from 22 to 23.
