I think that most of us can confidently say that we had the same experience as you did. Generally, I have never had an issue with updating to a new version of JFW; and, of course, the only msgs on the topic that folks will obviously post is when something goes wrong and they need guidance as to what they should do next. MSGS such as yours should give folks confidence to install the new version if they are licensed or have a SMA to do so. |

Well, I hate to be a party pooper however, I had no problem downloading the 023 version on all 4 computers, 3 lap tops and one desktop. I powered on the computers and was told there was a update for JAWS, then activated it. |

Hi, Ashleigh. Molly isn't using a Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA). She is using the Yearly license.

I have seen virtually any conceivable piece of software that's supposed to automatically update "get a hitch in it's gitty-up" and simply refuse to do so. I can count the number of times I've dealt with Windows Update not doing so for reasons unknown.
If you know your licensing is in order, the easiest thing to do when you've determined an automatic update that should occur isn't occurring is to go to the source website and download the latest installer manually, then run it. You'll probably then go anywhere between some years to "forever" without the hitch happening again, but if it were to do so, . . . -- Brian - Virginia, USA - Windows 10, 64-Bit, Version 22H2, Build 19045 If you cannot or will not imagine the results of your actions, there’s no way you can act morally or responsibly. If Molly is not getting the notification for the JAWS 2023, she should press JAWS/INSERT+J, followed by the letter H, followed by the letterP. JAWS 2022, will then check for any updates. If there is an update for 2022 available, that will be downloaded and installed first. Once the download has finished, and Molly restarts the computer, and follows the above procedure, Molly should then get the notification for JAWS 2023. Dave ----- Original Message -----

Hi, Nermin. I was running JAWS 2022 this morning, and received a prompt to install JAWS 2023. But I am running JAWS with an SMA, not a yearly license.

Whenever there's a hotfix update, JAWS will notify you unless you turned that feature off. You will have to go to the FS website to download major releases. By releases I'm talking about main versions such as 2021, 2022, 2023, and so on. Regards, Nermin |

Hi, Molly. If you are a JAWS user with an expiring SMA, you won't see the JAWS 2023 update, until you have an SMA that will allow you to install JAWS 2023 in other than demo mode. This may also be the case if you are using the yearly license, if you are not authorized to install JAWS 2023 under your yearly license.
