First, the coffee you make at home is most definitely not free. The difference is when you paid for it. Starbucks, you pay for it when you want it. At home, you paid for it the last time you were at the store just in case you want it. To answer your question, there are several restaurants that offer free coffee--or at least, free coffee refills. The intention is usually that you'll buy something else, like breakfast. Those places are certainly not making money off serving you coffee.

Second, your initial comment was not appropriate, and I know you know better... because we had this exact same conversation last week. Knock it off. You're out of warnings. -----Original Message-----

There are places where you can get free coffee and sadly there are a lot who expect a lot for nothing. How often have we've seen posts from people who are running windows 7 and complain to the heavens that it is not as good as 10. Alright, you can't afford it for whatever reason, perhaps an addiction to a substance like smoking, but don't expect even demanding the 7 to be the same as 10 or, now 11. Totally off the mark, probably but better to be thought a fool and know it, then thought smart and be stupid. .

If the product is free, you are the product. That's true for any free email service as well. If that's a thing you're okay with, then... more power to you.

Sometimes, the check box did actually get checked but, the screen reader may need to have the screen refreshed.
If using Jaws, try doing a Jaws key with the escape key. Hopefully, you will now see that the box actually did get checked.
Also, have you tried continueing as though the check box did get checked? And, if necessary, maybe try using the Jaws touch curser to check the check box. If you are using a different screen reader, maybe some one else will offer assistance.
Good luck,
James B

It depends what the free email account is used for. The Yahoo account which I am useing to write this message is only for lists like this one. Currently it handles traffic from three lists and nothing personal at all. So far there has been no clash between Yahoo and groups.io unlike when I used an Outlook account. Also, if this account starts to receive large amounts of spam and or viruses, it is a simple matter of removeing the account and starting another. Gmail accounts have also been used for this purpose and with Thunderbird, they work well. I find that using the gmail web site and the iPhone app a bit of a challenge which I don't need. To see if I could duplicate what you are experiencing I went to Yahoo! and selected to sign up for Yahoo! email. On the page where it wanted my name and the email accoung I wanted (address and password) there was no "I'm not a robot" check box. Does it come up after that page?
