Moderated Did TeamViewer change?
Van Lant, Robin
I was using Team Viewer to give AIRA access to help with computer tasks. When I tried to use it the other day, it was asking me to log in. I couldn’t’ find my old credentials and thought I could just reset my password, but the validation email never came despite several requests. So, I went through the process of creating a new account and it let me, making me wonder what happened to my old login with the same email. I then used those new credentials to log in to the desktop app and, while I don’t have any special scripts and know the site has it’s accessibility issues, I still don’t recognize the layout as I’m used to seeing it. I haven’t tried calling AIRA yet to see what they’ve seen with other users. I was hoping to be prepared for them to be able to see the codes they normally capture to log in. Just curious if anyone else noticed a dramatic change recently. Either JAWS isn’t finding the info on the screen or it’s not there. There are several unlabeled buttons.

Yes, Team View has some new problems and it is not working even with scripts that were created by Brian Hartgen. If calling Aira Agent it is best to use the desktop application on the web from Aira. I found it very easy to use and if you don’t have an account you can still use it for the free 5-minute call.

Thanks, Milton. I also updated my Windows Quick Assist, as I think that may be an option. I’ll go look at the AIRA website. Thanks for validating that it’s not just me being inept with Team Viewer.

Greetings:
Team Viewer has indeed changed. But, if you tab around enough, you do get to the user ID and password fields which are spoken by JAWS but which cannot be analyzed one character at a time. Thank goodness for JAWS Speech History: INSERT+SPACE then h.
Cordially,
Curtis Chong

There is an app called
team viewer quick support which enables the password and username to be analysed letter by letter. On 23/09/2022 05:30, Curtis Chong

I wish AIRA would use Remote Incident Manager from Pneuma Solutions, rather than Teamviewer, it’s much more accessible.
All the best
