Moderated Using Google Chrome with JAWS

Steve Nutt

Hi Bill,

I believe this is display settings related on the target computer. That is to say, if the display size is too small, it emulates a mobile menu, which it calls Main Menu.

Check the display resolution next time you get this.

All the best

Steve

Subject: Using Google Chrome with JAWS

Sometimes, when I am working on another person's computer, when I bring up the Google Chrome Settings window with ALT, followed by F,S, I see a "Main Menu" button there. I don't see this on my computer, unless the Google Chrome window is not maximized. Today, however, I was working on someone's computer, and the Google Chrome window was maximized, and I still saw the Main Menu button in the Settings Window. Does anyone know what causes there to be a Main Menu button in the Google Chrome Settings Window besides the Google Chrome window not being maximized? I thought someone came up with a solution to this, but I cannot remember what the answer is.
