I got it to work with one of the classic schemes, as Jonathan suggested. For some reason it's not working with a custom scheme I have.

I believe I answered you on another list, but for the JAWS community. These items will be spoken when the Scheme is set to either Clasic (Attributes) or Classic (Attributes and Colors). To select a scheme use the alt+insert+S keystroke.

Then Jaws should announce "normal", "Superscript" and "subscript.

Hello Mark, hmmm I think you can try to make a specific jcf file for your navegator.  When I have tryed to know some details about fonts and words in HTML, I cannot achieve anything.  I conclude that JAWS cannot control this kind of information from html documents.  May a specific configuration for your default navegator could help you.

When HTML has superscript text, JAWS is not announcing it. The result is the superscript becomes part of the main word, so it gets mispronounced.  The SUP HTML tag is being used.  I've tried in JAWS default user setting mode. My verbosity settings are all on high. However, in Word, JAWS will say the text is superscript correctly.  Am I doing something wrong?
