Moderated creating shortcuts on desktop

I have some things I want as shortcuts on the desktop. I am using the latest version of jaws and windows 10. How can I create shortcuts for folders and programs on to the desktop? |

Well that's also work for firefox? I have it on my start menu, pressing the windows logo key for the start menu and then F. for 5 bucks.
