I have some things I want as shortcuts on the desktop.  I am using the latest version of jaws and windows 10.  How can I create shortcuts for folders and programs on to the desktop?

Select what you want to create a shortcut for, press application key, arrow to send to submenu, arrow to open, then arrow to desktop create shortcut and enter.

Well that's also work for firefox? I have it on my start menu, pressing the windows logo key for the start menu and then F. for 5 bucks. However, the desktop icon is no 1 were there, and I know I did not remove it.......

The above quoted tutorial is my recommendation for anyone who wants an easy, long-term method to add desktop shortcuts at will.  The special applications folder creation need only occur once.  As programs are added and removed from your computer that folder is updated.  Every blessed program (desktop app) that is installed on your computer will appear in the special applications folder and can be used to create a desktop shortcut for same in seconds.
