Moderated Jeff Lukacsena: looking for resources for Accessible RSS and Google Docs
Jeff Lukacsena <jlukacsena@...>
Hello List, I was wondering if anyone on this list kknew of resources for learning how to use Accessible RSS feeds and where to find good RSS feeds. Also, my graduate program uses Google Docs for a lot of their classroom interaction. I am not very familiar how to use Google docs and it’s suite of products with Jaws 2022. Can anyone points me to good resources on how to learn. Thanks, Jeff Lukacsena

Hi,
For Google Doc and some of the Google applications, go to the pass webinars on the Freedom Scientific website as there are training material there that have been done during the past year that are still current and applicable.

While it not just for RSS, Thunderbird not only does email, it also does RSS feeds and is very accessible. Before I discovered Thunderbird's RSS capabilities, I tried looking for an accessible RSS feed reader, and while there were several, I didn't like any of them. The only one I can recall now is Q Feed by Accessible Apps, but I don't recommend it because there is for all practical purposes, no support. There is a support email address, but nobody ever replies. Gene... On 7/5/2022 6:23 PM, Milton Ota wrote:

If you do a web search for Jaws webinars on demand +google docs You will get at least one result, though I’m almost certain there was another one just recently. I would check, but the website seems to be experiencing some issues at the moment.
If you use the Clubhouse app, I would add the JFW room, or however it is referred to, as they have more help webinars every week.
Here is a help doc on Google Workspace Accessibility by Colorado State University which should help you find Google’s own help docs https://oit.colorado.edu/services/messaging-collaboration/google-workspace/accessibility/docs

Good morning,
As already mentioned you could go to Freedom Scientifics website for their webinars on demand. Someone mentioned that there might be a problem with the site, if so as an alternative, you could subscribe to the Freedom Scientific Training podcast on Spotify which has all their training webinars.
If you go to YouTube, there was also a webinar by APH on Google Docs. The webinar was done with Elizabeth Whitaker, so the majority of the material will probably be the same, but it is another option.
