That is subjective at best. Some zoom meetings I’ve been on the host would ask every single member on the zoom call if they minded being recorded, which could be tedious at best. Other calls no problems like that.

The easiest way is to ask the host for permission to record, which when granted, you can use the record function in Zoom. Alternatively, you could also use GoldWave to record by setting the record device to the respective sound card. This however is not ideal if your Zoom and screen reader uses the same sound device , as it means your screen reader sound will also appear in the recording.

Whether it is legal or not would depend on where you are in the world, I suppose. In Canada, which I know you are also in, it is legal to record conversations so long as at least one of the person in the conversation is doing the recording.

Hi, David. Yes, It is legal, and if the host starts the recording, all participants must press the "Got it" button to consent to the meeting being recorded. Nevertheless, there is also an option to record locally and individually on each person's PC.

Hi,
Try the free Virtual RecorderWhich records the sound output from your sound card on the motherboard leaving Jaws to speak through an external sound card.
Do a search for it using Google or similar.

I would use goldwave for this, personally; Audacity will do the trick as well I’m sure. You’ll have to adjust the audio source device setting accordingly. It could be called loopback audio or something similar. Just set it going and then enter the zoom room. Remember that if you yourself will be talking, you’ll need to adjust a setting in windows that allows the sound sourced from your microphone to also play through the audio output, which may result in some possibly distracting latency.
