moderated setting Adobe Acrobat as default

Hello, I had found some instructions on the internet to set Adobe Acrobat as default. The instructions didn’t work. What should I do to setup as default? Thanks, Kevin

Under what version of Windows? That matters.

Hi Kevin,
Try the following:
1. Find a PDF file on your computer, but don't open it just have it highlighted. 2. Press alt+enter for properties. 3. Now shift+tab to the Change button and press it. You will be asked what program you want to use to open PDF files. Tab and there will be a list of proposed programs. 4. Once you are on your preferred program, select it and you should be good to go. Stay safe and take care. Mike. PSA Folks: You can still get gas for under a dollar fifty at Taco Bell!

Hi Mike, Wow, thanks for this method. Much easier than other ways I have been doing it, and I just tried it in Windows 11, and it works there too. David
