moderated What is the Crhome command for cleaning up the browser?

Tim Ford

This "cleanup" command does have several categories that you can cleanup or
not, just set the checkbox in each category.

For Clarification:
What does "cleaning up" in this context actually do?
Depending on what it fixed or removed, some might consider this absolutely
wonderful while others might regret what this command would actually
accomplish?
Are we talking about history, cookies, favorites which, for many of us, make
internet life far easier?

Hi All,

I am trying to find the keystroke in Google Chrome that starts the browser
cleanup command. I thought it was the shift key + the delete key, but that
does nothing. Any ideas? I have Windows 11 and latest JAWS.

Thanks for the explanation! So, it's not an automatic thing; but it gives
you the option to remove (or not remove) as one desires.

Open Chrome to any webpage.
now use, Control+Shift+Delete.
This will bring up the Clear Browsing History page.
Select the Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files,
depending on your needs.
finally, Click Clear.
so, the short answer is that you are given an opportunity to select how much
you actually want cleared before any clear happens.
this is the same key combination when starting the clear process, in Chrome
& Edge
