The JAWS key with the Page Down key is what I use. Unless Outlook is really busy, this usually works.

That doesn’t work for me, it just reads the subject line, date, to and from, etc.

Anyway, it doesn’t make sense, as the information you want is on the status line if you want the number of messages in the inbox.

Yep, if it says Filter Applied, press F6 to the Filters pane and then space on Clear All Filters, then OK.

First, know if the account is IMAP or POP

Go to the view pull down, my version, Alt+V.

Choose change view

Tab or arrow, to IMAP or POP, in my case IMAP and press enter

If I have only  IMAP accounts setup in Outlook, I would repeat and press enter on, save view for all, option, just a couple of tabs more.

My Juno is POP, so I had to open that inbox and

Go to the view pull down, Alt+V.

Choose change view

Tab to POP, and press enter

JAWS users will now hear accurate information when using, Insert+PageDown, For MS Outlook 2013, 2016, 2019 and 2021.

That key command does provide a number, but it is not accurate.  It gives a number for me of 15 when I am near the top of the list, 12 when at the bottom.  From my count manually, I have 52.I admit I have Outlook 2013, so it is probably just too old for JAWS to pick up the correct information.

I still cannot get this to occur when I press JAWS key and page down, anyone know answer to this?

Where do you go in outlook  to set it up so jaws reads number of messages in inbox.
