Moderated Downloads Folder

Hi All,
In my downloads folder on my new computer when I arrow up and down. JAWS announces today, yesterday, or a long time ago. How do I remove this from the folder? Thanks in advance! Of course, it is your choice how you want your folders to be shown on your system. But not only did I get used to the newer default way of showing downloads -- I now can't imagine it any other way. It sure makes sense, especially if you do a lot of downloading 9as I sometimes do), to have them organised by date, with the newest at the top of the view. I would even like finer/more specific date organisation now ("a long time ago" is really n ot very specific is it?)... -----Original Message-----

As for me, I simply sort the folder by the date modified. This is, of course, a matter of individual preference—as it should be😀.

Hi all,
I have also come to much prefer the default of most recent download at the top of the list. Most of the time when I download something, I want to immediately use it, and it is right there at at the top of the list. David |

Hi Curtis, I went into my download folder and pressed control space. I then pressed shift f10. On the menu there is no group by. I’m using the most recent version of windows10 and Jaws2022. Thanks, Kevin

Hi, Kevin. You must make sure nothing is selected in your downloads folder. Then there will be a "Group by" category in the context menu of your download folder.

Thanks Bill. I thought I had done that and for reason it must not have worked or I fat fingered something. It now works.
